It's one of a kind, a place that makes you feel at home, authentic Spanish food straight recipes from the island of Puerto Rico once you taste the food it's heaven sent. Very clean beautiful decor and a wonderful owner.
Always good. They make you feel like family here.
It sucked, big time. You dont understand spanglish or English. Your food was cold pasteles where raw and the service was horrible. The steak and onions tasted like fish. You got to wear that gun so you can get paid for the bullshitt you serve there.
Delicious food, big portions. Loved the plantains. Comfortable ambience and kind service!
As a tourist from NYC, authentic Puerto Rican food tasted like it was from the old country. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The beat part, not over salty.
Love this place. Must try chicken stew, pork chop and coconut pudding.
Mamasita’s house was so good and they give huge portions. My boyfriend and I shared one order of Bacalao (fish and vegetable stew) and one order of sweet plantains, and we still had some left over for later. I'm definitely going back. Gotta try the pernil next
I love this place the food is very good I would not eat Spanish food anywhere else but here the owners are the best
No frills Puertorrican restaurant, with friendly staff, fantastic and authentic food! Portions are very generous. We had the pollo asado with rice, beans and tostones. Everything was delicious. We were looking for a place to have lunch on a Saturday afternoon and found this little gem. Don't come here if you want to go to a fancy place. Great choice!
Omg the food was amazing. I'm so glad we found this place. Making it our new spot to eat.
Food is incredible! Atmosphere is amazing, Service is excellent and i felt like i was back in Puerto Rico I can't wait to go back again and again!!!
The best Hispanic place in the poconos!!! The food is authentic!!!
Delicious authentic food. Empanadas, Yucca, Shrimp, Spanish Rice, all of it is amazing!
The food is very expensive for small portions. I ordered a small baked chicken and white rice and beans... $8.50 and it wasn $1.00 more for yellow rice...(when the only difference is adding Sazon)... i also ordered small chicken stew with white rice and beans... $7.50... i could have gotten a whole rotisserie chicken with yellow rice and red beans at the Spanish restaurant in Tannersville... next to Friendly's... Overall, the food was good.. i cant say that I won't go back. But i can say, it wouldn't be often.
Great place for food and socializing. It's Puerto Rican cuisine, so don't go there expecting French fries.... That's just ignorant and disrespectful
The food was delicious and it has a great family feeling!
Good food.
I absolutely love this place. The food was very delicious and the 3 leche cake was even better. The service was excellent. Very friendly. My husband and I had the pleasure of actually being served by the owners (hubby and wife team) and we had such a great time just sitting and talking.
The chicken was exactly what I expected!
Mamasita's House was awesome!! The food was fantastic...haven't tasted REAL Puerto Rican food since my Grandmother passed. The staff/family were fabulous! We were a party of 6 (with an infant and rambunctious toddler) and each of the 4 children LOVED the food. Mamasita finished cooking for us (and several other people) then came out to greet us and make sure we were happy. She was wonderful! Spoke to everyone at the table and took time to play (and tickle) our 3 year old. It felt like we were sitting in a friends house having a delicious meal! I HIGHLY recommend everyone that ventures within 100 miles take a detour and visit this "house." It will be well worth it. Mamasita will even prepare dishes for you prior so your wait is shortened. AMAZING!
Amazing food. Great experience. Met some awesome people and cannot wait to go back.
Best Spanish food in Nepa
Great Spanish food . Cozy place.
Food was horrible nor enough and to pricey service is slow young girls cute but no experience needs to train them .... the soup is so green I thought I was eating sofrito.from a jar... great people but need to step it up....
i am on vecation from n.y and was so glad when i see a latino resturant i ordered their food for the whole family and to my amazed their food was over cook very salty and the counter guy was very rude i would not eat here anymore
This place is closed permanently. 😭😭😭😭
Well I can say it was a bit disappointing, I’m part Puerto Rican An was hopeful this shop would be better than the two Dominican spots that are local. ...... not even close, it’s pricey an service is slow
Rating this 1 star since I can't rate anything lower than that .
Had a family reunion Father's Day weekend and got catering from here. Their food was great and the whole family loved it which is hard to do with a family of Puerto Ricans. The pernil was mouth watering, baked chicken was huge and delicious and we'll seasoned, the rice was moist and flavor full and the beef empanadas were amazing. They were so hospitable, kind and friendly. Definitely a family resturaunt with the best customer service. I would definitely order from here again and would recommend to everyone.
Very good service and great food
The place felt like i went to grandmas for dinner. Good homey feel. And to top it off the food was the best ive had in all of pa.
The food was really good we didn't call before we went so we had to wait 25 for our food but other than that it was very delicious
The food is not good.
Needed some last minute food catered for a family reunion and I decided to take a chance with this restaurant. The owner was very polite and wiling to provide any special orders if needed. They are normally closed on Sundays but they even made an exception to prepare my food Sunday and allowed me to pick it up right before my get together. The food was fresh and hot when I arrived there. I really appreciated the touch. We tried the pernil, arroz con gandules, beans, beef empanadas and guineitos en escabeche. We were very happy and satisfied with the food as well as the service provided by the owner and employees. Will definitely be ordering from them for future events.
Great Food and Service!
Service = HORRIBLE... Food = EVEN WORSE... Prices = TOO HIGH FOR NASTY FOOD. Is truly a shame that they call themselves a Puerto Rican restaurant. The alcapurrias tasted disgusting, and so did the bacalaitos (those were actually from the goya box). The beans tasted like they had just opened the can, boiled with some sofrito and served, totally disgusting. The chicken stew was not a stew, and the sauteed steak with onions, was so salty I had to take two blood pressure pills. Do not waste your money and time in this place. I am 100% Puerto Rican, and never tasted food this nasty.
Was just disappointed
Great food, was freshly made and authentic Puerto Rican. I particularly liked the pastelles, full of meat, clearly not a mistake. Customer service was also good. Owner/chef came out to chat with us. As a NYer, prices were more than fair for the amount of food I received. Much much better than another well advertised local restaurant. Would absolutely go there again.
A Bit Expensive ❗ Food is good though but plate is kind of scarce , could be more........
The food here is very, very good!!
This is one of my favorite places in town to eat. It's legit Puerto Rican food and they give you so much food! They make everything fresh to order, including pasteles any time :)
If you come to that place the meat taste like zombie shoulder. It reminds me of the walking dead. I bet that they have a dark room in the back that they keep all their victims and take all the meat from their body.
I'm from Brooklyn where the cuchifrito is staple of the borough, the food wasn't good at all, I am very surprised that for a Puerto Rican restaurant food wasn't good at all. How can you mess up chuleta frita , rice and beans, rice was sticky and bean had no taste to it at all. Food super blend. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I cook better ...
Decent food but overpriced in my opinion. There are several spanish eating establishments close to this one that are much less expensive
The food was very good and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The menu is subject to change, so some of the things we wanted to try were not available.
